Introduction to Hybrid Vehicles

Description: This course covers the theory of hybird vehicle systems and their operation. The environmental impact of carbon based fuels will be covered. Manufuacturer specific information related to hybrid vehicles and working safely on hybrid vehicles. Prerequisite(s): None

  8. Describe the role of the auxiliary battery in a hybrid electric vehicle
  9. Explain safety procedures that must be used while working on and around the high-voltage system in a hybrid electric vehicle.
  10. Explain the operation of hybrid vehicle systems compaired to ordinary systems.
  11. Explain how a fuel cell generates electricity.
  12. Diagnose hybrid vehicle systems
