AMST 1212

Auto Transmission/Transaxle

Credits: 5

Description: This course teaches the theory of operation of automatic transmissions and transaxles and the related components. The fundamentals of service of the components of the transmissions will be introduced and practiced in this course. Basic failure analysis will be introduced. Prerequisite(s): None

  16. Clean transmission and components.
  17. Assemble transmission and components.
  18. Remove transmission or transaxle.
  19. Install transmission or transaxle.
  20. Analyze transmission failures.
  21. Repair transmission failures.
  22. Test transmission/transaxle on dynamometer.
  23. Demonstrate scan tool usage.
  24. Service transmission in-vehicle.
